18 Natural Tips and Tricks for Arthritis

There are lots of herbs and supplements on the market for arthritis. Over the years I have found a few basic herbs, supplements and treatments that work better than all of the fancy combinations that seemingly come out every month. Here they are:
• Glucosamine Sulfate—specifically the Phytopharmica brand. It’s time released and very pure and works a great deal better than any other brand (so my clients tell me.) • MSM- Works well when the body needs it for humans and dogs, cats do not tolerate this product very well. If the body is showing sulfur deficiency signs, this is probably a great choice. • Knox Gelatin, plain—a supportive supplement, but not effective enough to use as the only supplement. A good choice if your nails and hair are thin and weak. Dose: One-two packets/day in juice.• Burdock Root(Arctium lappa): Helps take calcium out of the little bone spurs and put it back to where it should be. This is a long term thing, but a good one. Good choice if there are liver challenges as well such as glaucoma, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, anger and resentment issues, cancer or alcohol consumption. • Turmeric (Curcuma longa): The active ingredient of Turmeric is Cucurmin which is very penetrating for rheumatoid arthritis. has long been used as a powerful anti-inflammatory in both the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine. It is an antioxidant that is 150 times stronger than Vitamin C and is also used in cancer therapies. I would use this if you have some of these other symptoms: including flatulence, jaundice, menstrual difficulties, bloody urine, hemorrhage, toothache, bruises, chest pain, and colic. Turmeric comes in capsules filled with powder, in bulk (it is used as a spice in many kitchens) and as a liquid-filled capsule. The dose is 3-6 capsules per day. • Wobenzym: These enzymes are kind of spendy, but I hear they work well. Wobenzym is the most thoroughly researched systemic enzyme supplement available to support your good health. • Yucca root (Yucca aloifolia) capsules: Great for inflammation and swelling associated with arthritis.• FrankincenseBoswellia carteri: Ayurvedic practitioners use this in arthritis for its pain-killing and antibacterial effects. • Celery Seed powder (Apium graveolens): Helps break down bone spurs over time (like months to years.)• Baldrain Plus is a special preparation of valerian root that is in coated tablet form. It is pretty effective for low back pain. I don’t know why it’s more effective than plain old valerian in a capsule. (It smells better than regular valerian, too!) • Digestive enzymes such as Bromelain and papain are also very good for arthritis cases as many times the core cause of arthritis is poor digestion and absorption of food over a very long period of time. You can get these from foods (fresh pineapple and papaya) or in capsule and pill form. Papaya enzyme tablets are very cheap and taste great. Several with each meal are sometimes needed—especially if the meal has a combination of several types of foods. • I have a special formula for old dogs, which I call my “Old Dog Formula” that works well for humans as well. It contains equal parts of Yucca, Siberian Ginseng and Ginkgo biloba. Makes an old dog new.
Also essential for minimizing arthritic pain:
• Exercise is very helpful in keeping the lymphatics moving and the joint fluids thin and lubricating. Swimming and water aerobics and hot tubbing are all good as these types of activities take the stress off the joints while allowing the muscles to work. • Water—Drink lots of pure, unchlorinated water. • Castor oil and clay packs can be used for drawing out toxins from spot places on the body.• Essential Fatty Acids to the diet through fish oils, nuts, and flax seed oil. If you want to take a supplemental oil, I would recommend Udo’s Choice Oil Blend. It seems to work better than some of the other oil supplements. • Eating for your blood type (www.dadamo.com) will lessen the inflammation and increase the detoxification. • Magnetic Therapy: Get whatever you can afford including a magnetic mattress, appropriate joint wraps, spot magnets, and super mini magnets by Nikken—their magnetic bracelet works great for wrists and hand discomfort.• Minimizing sugar intake and cut back on coffee and sodas which rob the body of minerals.• Regular massage is really great to move toxins. The best massage oils to use for arthritis according to Edgar Cayce (one of the original intuitive healers) are peanut and castor oil. • Far Infrared (FIR) heat is very healing and penetrating for arthritis of all kinds. Do saunas, get some sunshine, or use FIR wraps. • Keep up with a great diet which is high in raw fruits and vegetables and cooked vegetables. • Toftness Technique: This is a very special technique done by some chiropractors where they have a little drum coated with a light layer of talcum powder. They rub the drum to find the muscles in your body that need balancing and when the drum stops squeaking, it means everything is OK. This technique is awesome for back pain and scoliosis and for keeping your body in alignment so that arthritis doesn’t worsen. You’ll have to ask around for a practitioner that does this as they do not always advertise that they do this technique.
The trick is to find the right combination for you or the person or pet that you love and stick with it. When a treatment or herb therapy works, it usually is a staple for your lifestyle for the long term.

Popularity of Custom Jewelry

When talking about custom jewelry, it is important to understand the true meaning of it. True custom jewelry is made according to the specifications or design given by you, the customer. It is quite natural that if you wish to have a custom-made piece of jewelry that is complex in design, a higher price may result. This is due to the time and skill needed to create such a design. The price will also depend on the quality and type of materials used to make it. Nevertheless, a piece of jewelry designed by you will be exclusive and unique, therefore making it far more valuable than the price. It will reflect your personal taste, style, and desires.
Day by day, people are becoming more and more interested in custom-made jewelry. There are many reasons behind this growing demand and awareness. Many are seeking a unique piece or style that cannot be found in standard jewelry collections. As an example, family rings have risen in popularity as they contain the birthstone of that particular person, or the birthstone of their parents. In addition, a custom-made jewelry allows the individual to incorporate certain feelings or emotions into their design. Some people opt for custom jewelry so that the size and specifications can be adjusted and more easily fit their body structure.
Once you give your specifications, you need not worry anymore about the design or the size and shape. All you need to do is to select one design from the category, and the size and shape will be custom made to the choices you have selected. It is custom made for you and you only. Today, most of the people prefer custom jewelry design because of its uniqueness and specialty. It makes you feel unique in that you are the only person who has this very special item.
A piece of custom-made jewelry not only adds uniqueness but it is also loaded with your sentiments and emotions. In the case of engagements, many people elect to design their own custom made rings rather then just buy the traditional or common designs. There is no doubt that custom made designs have more life in comparison with other ready made ornaments. In addition, jewelry is the preferred gift of choice for many different occasions throughout the year. A well-made and custom designed piece of jewelry is the perfect choice for virtually all of these occasions.
When you are ready to begin your search, be sure to find an experienced jeweler who will sit with you and guide you through the custom design process step by step. Apart from giving you proper advice, he/she also needs to help you get the original stones and materials that ultimately will result in your very own design.

Fashion Jewelry as Party Favors for a Girls Theme Celebration

One of the easiest ideas you can come up with to put into your loot bags is fashion jewelry. Fashion jewelry includes beads, plastic rings, light up jewelry, plastic pendants and more, as long as it’s colorful and makes a bold statement. Usually this type of party jewelry can be picked up at a fairly low price so buying lots of it for your party loot bags isn’t going to take too much out of your pocket.
Beads and beaded necklaces are metallic multicolored fun for your Mardi Gras party, or even a New Year’s Eve party. Guests love to collect the beads and compare how many they got with each other. Beaded necklaces come in many sizes, but usually you’ll find thirty three inch beads, forty two inch bead and forty eight inch beaded necklaces. Just pick out the set that suits you most. You can also find batches of faux pearl necklaces that look so pretty the guests won’t believe they aren’t real. These pearl necklaces make great gift items for movie parties or Christmas parties.
There are also lots of necklaces with large pendants on them to give out at your parties. These pendants are available in many sizes and shapes. They can be sterling silver bulldogs or mini multicolored disco balls. You’ll find there are many forms of the peace sign necklace, neon plastic peace signs, large metallic peace signs, mini metallic peace signs and silver bling peace signs. There are also peace sign earrings for your ears.
Speaking of earrings there are nifty little LED magnetic lights that can be used as earrings. They are round, about three fourths of an inch in diameter and come with a strong magnetic back that will hold the LED light even through the skin of your ear.
Other light up fashion jewelry can be found to rock your party guests with. Lightsticks and glow sticks have evolved into pendants and necklaces that you can use during the course of the party and after they stop glowing you’ll still be able to see them turn phosphorescent under a black light.

Magnetic Water - Is It For Real?

Can water be magnetised?
Many of us understand our basic need to drink clean, healthy water. But what actually is healthy water, and why do we need it?
We are over 70% water. All our biological functions including circulation, digestion, absorption, and excretion depend on water. Water is required for blood, the lymphatic system, and healthy skin and muscles. Doctors, scientists, researchers and natural healers all agree that drinking enough water on a daily basis can help maintain good health and likely help fight disease. Most experts advise drinking at least a litre of water a day to assist in maintaining healthy skin and properly functioning kidneys, bowels, and circulation.
Water is Paramagnetic meaning that it holds a magnetic charge. Paramagnetism occurs primarily in substances in which some or all of the individual atoms, ions, or molecules possess a permanent magnetic dipole moment. Water has a dipole moment and is, therefore, subject to paramagnetism. (At the University of Tokyo researchers were able to make water levitate using magnets (Source: NATURE . Ikezoe, N. Hirota, J. Nakagawa and K. Kitazawa, Making water levitate, Nature 393 (1998) 749-750).
Again, water molecules are dipolar. Since opposite electrical charges attract, water molecules tend to attract each other (Kegley and Andrews, 1998). Water in living systems naturally gathers into structures of 14, 17, 21, 196, 280, or more molecules (Mikesell, 1985; Davis, 2004). The bottom line is that structured or ionised or magnetised water can be formed using magnets (Mikesell, 1985).
There is a long history of the promotion of magnets to improve the quality and health benefits of water. Researchers found that when a permanent medical magnet is kept in contact with water, the water gets magnetically charged and acquires magnetic properties. Such magnetically treated water affects the human body when taken internally and regularly for a considerable period of time (Lam, 2001). Also, when water is magnetically treated, more hydroxyl (OH-) ions are created to form alkaline molecules, and reduce acidity. Normal water has a pH level of about 7, whereas magnetized water tends to be more alkaline.
Research has shown that it is possible to regenerate water to its original healthy state by magnetizing it. It is now clear that water has a very definite structure. A water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms and an oxygen atom. Because of the electron configuration of the molecule the hydrogen atoms tend to attract other water molecules resulting in the formation of clusters which can contain anywhere from four to hundreds of water molecules each.
Some very exciting research done in Hungary has shown that these clusters actually have a memory and can remember and carry an imprint of the magnetic energy they have been exposed to either simply from the earth’s magnetic field or through flowing over paramagnetic rock. It is the fact that this memory is destroyed on the way to the tap which renders our drinking water lifeless. (Zhalko-Tytarenko, Olga, et al. Endogenous electromagnetic field influence on the free energy of hydrogen bond formation in water. 2nd Advanced Water Sciences Symposium, Dallas, Texas, October 4-6, 1996. Proceedings, pp. 23-27 ).
The health benefits of drinking magnetic water.
Magnetized water is claimed to be energy-building, activating, cleansing and detoxifying. There are reports of people resolving bladder problems, recovering quickly from a stroke, alleviating arthritis pain and reducing blood pressure by drinking magnetized water. It is perhaps reasonable to assume that if scientific studies on animals have proven that magnetized water has health benefits, then it should also be beneficial to humans. However, so far there have been no systematic, clinical trials done to prove or disprove the healing effects of magnetized water in humans. (Gursche, Siegfried and Rona, Zoltan. Encyclopedia of Natural Healing. Alive Publishing, Inc., Burnaby, Canada, 1997, pp. 400- 07 )
Here’s a list of all the claims of the potential benefits of drinking magnetic water:
- Magnetized water tastes sweeter and has more clarity.
- Magnetic water promotes a more alkaline pH in the body
- Magnetic water promotes healing of wounds and burns
- Magnetic water has a therapeutic effect on digestive, nervous and urinary systems
- Magnetic water may also be beneficial for fevers, sore throat, menstrual and menopause discomfort.
- Magnetic water revitalizes the body
- Magnetic water provides positive effect on the autonomic nervous system
- Magnetized water has been reported to help regulate the heart function and clear clogged arteries
- Magnetic water has been beneficial for kidney ailments, gout, obesity and premature aging
- Magnetic water may help relieve pain
- Magnetic water infuses energy into the body, controls bacteria, and stimulates brain function.
Whether these claims are true or false remains to be tested by science. It will be decades before the science of magnetized water is fully understood. Those in mainstream medicine may discount magnetized water as "quackery". That in the forefront of magnetic research paints a different story. If one understands and accepts that each of our cells possesses a small magnetic field, as many research studies are now supporting, the logical conclusion that magnetic water has the ability to affect our cells must be taken seriously.
The most efficient way to magnetise drinking water.
I promote using a bipolar magnetic water wand to magnetise water. It is a quick, efficient, simple and cost effective method. Here’s some more data about the water wand.
The magnetic water wand is 14cm (5¾ inch) long and looks like a pen with a ceramic ball at the end. The long lasting, lime scale resistant rhodium coating protects the 2 bipolar, magnets inside, totalling 2300 gauss (230 m Tesla). Because you are actually placing the magnets directly into the water the magnetic field penetrates the water extremely quickly. To magnetise a glass of water (200 - 250 ml), leave the magnetic wand for 10 to 15 minutes. and to magnetise a litre, I recommend leaving the magnetic water wand for an hour.
Remember, you don’t have to drink ONLY water. You can magnetise any cold fluid with the water wand!

Health Claims For Bio-Magnetic Therapy

The medical applications of magnetism are no longer just relegated to such things as high tech diagnostic devices, like the MRI, and magnetic dental implants. The health claims attributed to magnets have many people donning magnetic jewelry, "sports magnets" and other forms of "bio-magnets." Some studies have indicated that bio-magnetic therapy may provide an alternative form of therapy for injuries.
There has recently been a resurgence of interest in using the basic principles of magnetism to treat pain and discomfort. Various athletes wear flexible coated magnets in lumbar supports, in knee braces, wrist bands, elbow supports, ankle supports, sewn into clothing or in their shoes. These flexible magnets are very popular with golfers and can be found in many pro-shops. Magnetic bracelets are also very popular but generally make no specific health claims. There are even "whole body" magnet kits for sale that include a variety of flexible and wrap-around magnets for any part of the body! Some people sew flexible magnets into clothing to wear while exercising or training. But be careful wearing magnets, of any type, during contact sports could cause injury to you, your teammate or your opponent.
Magnet therapy dates back to the time of Plato when they were used to treat muscle spasms and gout. During the middle Ages, people placed magnets on the skin in an attempt to "attract diseases out of the body". Today magnets are theoretically used to affect red blood cells (which contain iron) as they respond to a magnetic field causing the cells to become more active. Supposedly, more active red blood cells use more oxygen thereby causing a more rapid healing. Bio Magnetics International claims that magnetic therapy causes a quicker removal of lactic acid from overworked muscles, resulting in a faster recovery time, and a change in the migration of calcium ions that aid in the removal of toxins from arthritic joints. The magnet's negative pole (N pole) appears to contain the healing energy. Negative electromagnetic fields appear necessary for healing to take place.
Medical claims include: temporarily relieving pain and stiffness, helping to heal bone fractures, treat "restless leg syndrome", treat severe depression (replacing electroconvulsive treatment) and to assist in the "maintenance" of peripheral blood flow. Magnets have also been shown to decrease pain in diabetic peripheral neuropathy and post-polio pain, but pain returned when magnetic therapy was discontinued. There are also on-going studies using magnetism for the treatment of fibromyalgia. Some sources suggest that more than 70% of those who tried biomagnetic products have found some level of improvement for their condition. Around the world, magnetic-pulse therapy is used to treat thoroughbred horses with leg and spine injuries.
Research has shown that when charged particles pass through a magnetic field perpendicularly, they generate an alternating current that generates heat, expands blood vessels and increases blood flow with increased oxygen and nutrients to heal an injured site. Although magnet therapy may help to relieve pain and discomfort, it is not an accepted medical treatment and a medical doctor should be consulted for any serious condition. More controlled studies are needed to determine the best strengths of magnets and to determine any dangers or side effects.
If you decide to try magnet therapy, choose a magnet with its strength labeled. A magnet's strength is measured in gauss. The higher the number the stronger the magnet: usually 300 to 500 gauss. Your favorite magnet on the fridge is about 60 gauss!
The jury is still out on determining the optimal magnetic field for specific medical conditions. When more studies are done, you'll know whether your magnet is too weak, too strong or just right for your condition.
Note: A physician should be consulted prior to using magnets and to rule out possible medical conditions. Don't stop any treatment that you are on without the consent of your physician. Make sure your physician is aware of any shrapnel or surgical screws and pins in your body. Don't use magnets at the same time as you use an electric blanket or electric heating pad. Magnets should not be used around a pacemaker or implant or if pregnant.

Copper Magnetic Bracelets - Doubling the Health Benefits

The rise of copper magnetic bracelets has shown people that two is indeed better than one. The bracelets were made to provide both the therapeutic effects of magnetic fields and copper. These two materials were widely believed to have beneficial effects on pain, inflammation and other muscle and joint problems. Find out more about the styles and process.
The Treatments
When you invest in a copper magnetic bracelet, manufacturers and dealers say that you can have several benefits such as pain relief from arthritis, tendonitis, rheumatism and carpal tunnel syndrome. Magnets have been used since the ancient times to treat a variety of physical disorders since these were thought to balance the ionic flow in the human body. Copper was also found to have physical benefits like muscle relaxation, improved blood flow and increased oxygen output to tissues. The combination of these two can then treat individuals more effectively.
Makers suggest that you place the magnet and copper close to the area you intend to treat. The wrist and arm can then benefit from muscle and joint pain and inflammation that may result from underlying and general conditions. There's really not much difference if you wear the bracelets tightly or loosely since it is known to have effects on the entire area around where it is placed.
The Look
Copper magnetic bracelets have a very simple yet fashionable appearance. The pieces can have lengths anywhere from 65 to 85 mm that can easily fit wrist sizes of 6 to 8 inches. Width is about 2 to 3 cm and thickness is about 0.5 to 0.85 cm. The bracelets simply form an unfinished loop without any clasp wherein the wearer can slip his hand or wrist through the open ends.
The copper loop is solid, has a bronze or rustic brown color and entirely magnetized accordingly from 1500 to 7000 gauss depending on the needs of the person. Since jewelry and other magnet-sensitive metals cannot be placed on the bracelet, the pieces usually have very simple designs such as a bangle or cuff. There are however, gold and silver-plated ones sporting various patterns.
The Price
Prices will differ depending on the size, materials used and gauss of the magnet. The higher the gauss, the more expensive the copper magnetic bracelet. The number of karats for gold-plated designs will also determine the price. On the average, simple copper magnetic cuffs or bangles cost about $30. Prices can rise up from $60 to $250 with higher gauss and addition of details and gold or silver accents. Almost all bracelets come in very presentable packages with some instructions on how to therapeutically apply treatment. A lot of dealers also offer warranty and satisfaction guarantee over a period of time.
Tips on Wearing Them
You may wear more than one bracelet at a time since some experts believe that higher gauss also results in more effective physical gains. Some people even wear as many as 4 to 5 bracelets at a time. You should know that these bracelets are primarily sold as aesthetic devices and have not been scientifically or medically proven to treat any condition or disease. These also should never be used to replace medical therapy for those undergoing any. It is best to consult your doctor first before buying a copper magnetic bracelet.

Magnetic Ankle Bracelet - Healing And Fashion In One

Having pain problems in your ankles, feet and calves? You may be better off with a magnetic ankle bracelet. Although these anklets are making waves at present, the idea behind their use is really ancient. Magnets were believed to cause ionic checks and balances in the body resulting to improved condition of oxygen and blood flow to nearby cells and tissues. When placing them near your problem areas, you might expect alleviation of pain and other joint anomalies.
Does It Really Work?
The idea is to apply a magnetic field to an injured area in order to maintain a normal electromagnetic environment. Since the body has electro-chemicals or ions, the right transfer and exchange of these are essential for optimum health. As an effect, magnets are thought to relax muscles, tissues and capillary walls thereby enhancing oxygen and blood flow to various areas especially the ones closest to the magnets. Most commonly, pain and inflammation problems are said to benefit very much from magnetic field application.
The Effects
According to manufacturers and dealers, the response of individuals will vary depending on the strength of the magnets, duration of application as well as kind and intensity of the physical problem. Some patients report experiencing pain and inflammation relief within a few days while others take several weeks or months. However, it is important to note that magnetic ankle bracelets are not scientifically or medically proven to heal and should not replace medical treatment. The anklets are also sold mainly as fashionable pieces in designated stores and jewelry shops. A number of nations like Germany, Israel and Japan have begun to support magnetic therapy through reimbursement and other benefits.
Adverse Reactions
There are no known side effects or contraindications with regards to wearing a magnetic ankle bracelet. Individuals should only watch other jewelry or items they might be using which are magnet-sensitive. There is no solid proof that wearing more magnets will increase the effectiveness or shorten treatment period but there is also no harm done in wearing more. Some people increase the gauss to as much as 30,000 by adding more magnets while others wear 4 to 5 anklets at a time.
Beautiful Designs
Since the magnetic ankle bracelets are primarily sold as fashionable pieces, manufacturers ensure that they look very elegant and presentable aside from their supposedly healing actions. There are versions that use magnetic hematite with Czech glass crystals or Swarovski crystals. The anklets may come in the form of wraps, chain links, cuffs and simple attachments. Lengths can be anywhere from 10 to 30 inches long. Charms, beads, gemstones and semi-precious stones may also be added for more appeal not to mention engravings for a more personalized touch.
There are magnetized gold, silver, titanium and copper magnetic ankle bracelets too which are great alternatives to the more popular hematite beads. Almost all models are handcrafted to perfectly match the buyer's specifications and style. The magnets are ideally positioned north to generate more energy. Very strong magnetic power does not necessarily relate to heavier weight.
A magnetic ankle bracelet can be anywhere as cheap as $14.99 if made from simple stainless steel. The use of more expensive metals and other details can boost the price up to around $800 to $1,000. Always ask for a warranty and 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

Neodymium Jewelry - Ultra-Strong Magnets and Modern Elegance

A unique twist on a popular idea, neodymium jewelry uses no clasps, and no strings. The only thing holding the jewelry together are the ultra-strong magnets themselves. People are definitely fascinated by both the look and the design concept.
Neodymium magnets, also known as rare earth magnets, have been used in industry for years where high strength is required from light-weight magnets. They are used in a wide variety of products such as professional speakers, hard disks, headphones, and guitar pick-ups.
In the last few years neodymium has found its way into another type of product, and become popular as magnetic jewelry. When placed side by side with other types of magnetic jewelry, they certainly stand out as unique.
Similar to magnetic jewelry made from hematite or magnetite, they're sold as magnetic necklaces, bracelets, or anklets. Unlike other magnets used in making magnetic jewelry, however, they're strong enough to bind to each other using only their magnetic fields.
In fact, neodymium may be the ideal component of magnetic jewelry, in that it is extremely strong for its size and weight. Unlike those pieces made of hematite or magnetite, these magnets are so strong they require no strings or wire. Since they can be opened by separating the magnets at any location, they also require no clasp.
Various shapes, thickness, and color options can be combined to form a wide variety of styles. All of this makes them interesting, unique and flexible. If you're buying for magnetic therapy purposes, there is the obvious benefit of strong magnets.
Neodymium can be gold or silver plated, black, or coated in nickel. While other colors may be possible, the nickel coating seems to hold up much better than either gold or silver plating, and gives the jewelry a silvery shine with an industrial look.
Appealing to both men and women, they are high-tech as well as elegant. All in all, they have a personality that is classy and modern all at the same time.
The end result of all of this is that you end up with an ultra-strong, relatively light weight, modern but classy piece of magnetic jewelry. In addition, neodymium jewelry can be a fun product to own, and quite the conversation piece.
Kurt Schmitt offers buying tips and resources on neodymium jewelry and magnetic therapy products.

Magnetic Necklaces - More Concentrated Energy

Magnetic necklaces are part of the magnetic therapy line produced by several companies. Compared to others in the same class like bracelets and anklets, experts believe that necklaces are more beneficial since they are worn in a position or place where they can concentrate more energy to vital body organs. Here's more on the accessory and how you may also benefit.
Info on Magnetic Necklaces
Magnetic necklaces were created in conjunction with magnetic therapy. Since magnets have shown to be quite effective in dealing with several systemic problems in the human body, more and more versions are developed to enhance its so-called healing effects. Necklaces are also bigger in size compared to anklets and bracelets so the magnetic force is also amplified. Most of the magnetic strength will be focused on the head, neck, shoulders and upper back.
The necklaces are closer to vital organs like the heart and lungs so people think that this strategic positioning will do the greatest amount of good to their body. The heart will be able to function better pumping more blood as well as the lungs supplying large amounts of oxygen to different parts of the body. Take note that there aren't any proven scientific methods or studies that can truly show the true effectiveness of magnetic necklaces and magnets. There are however, millions of people who have reported noticeable and sometimes significant advantages with the application of strong magnetic fields.
Necklace Designs
A variety of materials are used to provide enough magnetic energy to individuals such as gold, silver, stainless steel, tourmaline titanium, hematite and ceramic. These are all magnetized with strengths ranging anywhere from 2,000 to 60,000 gauss. Some experts say that gauss readings are not very accurate since several magnetic points comprise a single piece of charged metal but at least you have an idea about the range of the true strength.
The magnetic necklaces have so many designs so individuals can feel free to choose the right style, color and pattern that suit their lifestyle or the occasion. There are sporty designs made of links that are lightweight with lobster or easy lock clasps. The clasps are very secure with most models also magnetized for extra safety. All components of the necklaces are handcrafted according to the specifications of the buyer. These are all waterproof and never rust or tarnish.
The More Stylish Ones
More stylish designs come with charms or a pendant made of neodymium. The pendant and charms themselves are magnetized providing at least 2,000 gauss. Some manufacturers allow custom-made pendants just for you. You will find wrap-around necklaces, bead necklaces made of hematite and ceramic and studded ones. Some are composed of two or more metals like gold and copper or silver and titanium. These are very durable and elegant which are perfect for any casual or formal occasion. You may also include gemstones like ruby, amethyst or sapphire for more color.
Simple magnetic necklaces with fine links or made of stainless steel can cost as low as $10.99 up to $20. Price will tend to increase as you choose more expensive metals and add more detail. If you intend to invest in more fashionable ones, you may have to shell out around $120 to $800. You will find several beautiful pieces at designated jewelers and online jewelry stores.

Clever Clasp - Never Fight With Another Tiny Stubborn Necklace or Bracelet Clasp Again!

Most of you have seen the Clever Clasp advertised on TV. I paid this commercial no attention when I first saw it, but my Wife zeroed in the first time she saw it.
You see, she's all the time complaining that the clasp's on her necklaces and bracelets are too small or too hard to get hooked. She has some nice pieces of jewelry that she no longer wears because the clasp are too small or just too hard to get hooked.
She relies on me to hook the clasp a lot of the time now. I have huge hands and poor eyesight. Not a combination made for dealing with tiny stubborn jewelry clasp.
She dropped me several strong hints that she wanted a set of Clever Clasp for Mothers Day. I was skeptical, however she was persistent that she had to have those magnetic jewelry clasp for Mothers Day or else. We all know that if Momma's not happy, no ones happy. Needless to say, she got a set of Clever Clasp for Mothers Day.
She absolutely loves her set, in fact she actually ordered Clever Clasp for all her necklaces and bracelets.
I believe one thing that sets Clever Clasp away from other magnetic jewelry clasp is the strength of the magnets and the durability of the clasp. I figured they'd fail or break in short order, but the Clever Clasp my wife purchased have been very durable.
Another side benefit that my Wife loves about these clasp are that they allow her to wear some of her bracelets and necklaces that were just a tad short or had broken clasp.
I've also put these on our 4 year old's play necklaces and bracelets. She was all the time running into our home Office saying "Daddy, hook my necklace!" With these magnetic clasp, she can hook her own necklaces and bracelets and I get some piece and quiet!
Don is the Webmaster at The Biggest Loser forums. He's written an in depth review of the Clever Clasp after his Wife commented that she wanted a set for Mothers Day. He felt like others had the same problems that his wife had and so he posted his review on the blog. Click here to read the Clever Clasp review.

Magnetic Clasp Bracelet - Your Jewelry Fits Right And Stays Secure

The good thing about a magnetic clasp bracelet is that you put it on and it stays on. Since you're most likely aiming to treat some muscle, joint and tendon problems in your arms and wrists, it's only fair that you look for one bracelet that fits right and stays secure. There are several varieties available today at designated shops and jewelers. Here's how to find the right piece for you.
The Magnetic Clasp
The clasp of the bracelet itself is magnetic and can give anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 gauss as needed by the wearer. You may also choose to increase the strength of the magnetic field by adding more magnets to the design or choosing a larger clasp. The clasps usually are equipped with safety snap to make sure that your jewelry stays on as needed without any risk of accidental snapping or losing. The mechanism is very convenient since you can easily take off the bracelet if you're taking a shower or going for a swim although everything usually is waterproof.
There are different types of magnetic clasps available depending on the style and design you need. Lobster and spring clasps are very traditional which has an adjustable hooking device that snaps on a loop or ring at the opposite end of the bracelet. These are harder to close however since fixing the lobster or spring requires steady small fingers with semi-grown nails. Newer models use a quick and easy latch-on mechanism wherein a rigged portion of one end of the bracelet perfectly fits and locks onto the miniature bars uniquely set at the opposite end. These are all magnetized as well so you get to double the security as the two opposite ends attract to each other.
Can the Clasps Heal?
Magnetic therapy or the use of magnetic bracelets and other jewelry for the purpose of pain and inflammation relief has been quite popular in recent years. First and foremost, magnetic clasps are not intended to medically treat individuals with chronic problems in their muscles and joints. The magnetic clasp bracelets specifically are intended to help hold the ends of the jewelry in addition to the clasp mechanism for added security. Take note that strengths of the magnetic clasps are kept only at minimal or regular intensities so that they merely attract to each other. The size of the clasps is also relatively small to produce any significant effects on affected areas.
The Real Healing Magnets
It would be a better idea to introduce solid magnetic materials that have higher strengths and can cover a broader area if you expect results. Gold, silver, copper, stainless steel and titanium are the usual metals that are magnetized with magnetic fields ranging as much as 20,000 to 30,000 gauss. Hematite beads are also said to have positive magnetic effects. You will see a variety of designs featuring these metals together with magnetic clasps. Basically, the magnetic clasp is very affordable and you can get these for as low as $4.50 depending on the design and material.
Too Much Magnet
There are no known side effects on applying very high amounts of magnetic force to your body. Just be sure that you keep other sensitive items like watches and compasses away. People with metal pins and plates surgically placed inside their bodies should consult their doctor first before application. A magnetic clasp bracelet is intended to add security to the piece so that it stays in place for as long as you expect it to. You may also find cheap materials like plastic, wooden and glass beads, silicone and other plastics made into bracelets but still using magnetic clasps to make them very easy and secure to wear.

3 Tips for Buying a Magnetic Necklace

For pain relief in the upper body and head, a magnetic necklace is a common choice. A common dilemma, however, among those looking to buy is how to choose one. Here are 3 tips to use when buying magnetic jewelry for your neck.
Whether you're buying for it pain therapy or for just plain looks, you'll need to know several things about choosing a magnetic necklace. First, you'll want to be familiar with the types of necklaces and how they are designed to be worn. Second, you'll need to know about the differences in quality. Not only is the quality of the craftsmanship important, but also the strength and quality of the magnets themselves. Lastly, you'll want to understand how the differences in magnetic necklaces fits your style.
The right type of necklace - There are a few styles of magnetic necklaces, so you'll want to make sure you get the right one for you. First, is the lariat. Lariat necklaces have no clasp, and wrap around your neck using the magnets in them to stay fastened. Lariats, also called "wraps" or "snakes," are usually 36 or 37 inches, and can be worn in several different ways around the neck. They can wrap a full turn, or less than a full turn around the neck. When worn this way the remainder of the beads hang below the neck, usually with the two sides joined in a straight line. They can wrap more than one full turn around the neck with a remainder, or they can coil around the neck like a collar. They can also be worn around the wrist or ankle, although they will obviously coil more times. Because of their length, these typically have the most magnets of any type of necklace. Unlike the lariat, the other types of magnetic necklaces are more like traditional necklaces with a clasp. The difference, of course, is that the clasp is usually magnetic. These necklaces can be made in different sizes, so be sure to get the right size for you. You'll find these necklaces plain, or with charms that are sometimes magnetic as well. A hematite cross is a popular magnetic charm. You'll find both the lariats and the traditional shape magnetic necklaces with or without accent beads. These accents beads can be magnetic hematite beads, or some type of non-magnetic bead. Higher quality necklaces will sport accents such as hematite, freshwater pearls, or semi-precious stones in turquoise, cherry quartz, or agate. These necklaces are more expensive, and also usually have stronger, higher quality magnets. Be alert that the better lariats will have as many as 48 high powered magnets.
Quality - There are two aspects to the quality. The first is the craftsmanship, and the second is the quality of materials used. As I've mentioned, higher quality necklaces usually use higher quality accent beads, and more powerful magnets. If you're interested in pain relief, powerful magnets are a must. Watch out for lesser quality products. A high quality maker of magnetic jewelry will choose stronger magnets, and higher quality accents. Look for a craftsperson who creates custom-made designs in magnetic jewelry, rather than one of the mass-produced pieces. These custom pieces will more than likely be using higher powered magnets and materials.
Style - You'll have to weigh all these differences against your personal style. Some people love the versatility of the lariat, while others prefer a more traditional look. Some enjoy the elegance and color of semi-precious stones, while others prefer the clean high-tech look of the polished black hematite. Cloisonne, lady bugs, and seasonal beads are very popular.
If you weren't familiar with the ins and outs of magnetic necklace buying, I hope this primer has you up to speed. Choosing the right type of necklace is important, especially for pain relief purposes. You'll have to decide whether you like the flexibility of the lariat, or the look of the traditional style.
You'll also want to ensure that your necklace has the quality to last. In addition, you'll need it to have the right number of high powered magnets if you're wearing it for therapy purposes. Once you've got those concerns taken care of, buying to match your style is your key to long lasting enjoyment.

Benefits of Magnetic Jewelery

Our Body and Electromagnetic Fields

Almost everyone made an electromagnet by wrapping a long wire around a nail and connecting it to a battery, but did you know that our bodies are also electromagnetic in nature? Electromagnetics is closely tied to the chemical balance of our body which can be either in a state of health or a state of dis-ease.

When our cells are damaged, there is a positive electrical charge at the site which affects the chemical and electrical balance of our body. This can cause us to feel pain. And because the human body is a wonderful healing machine, it sends a negative electrical charge to the damaged area to effect healing.

A natural way of helping our body's immune system is provided by the Earth's North Pole which is a geomagnetic north pole magnetic field. A negative magnetic field provides pain relief by oxygenating and alkalizing our body's defense systems. Negative magnetic fields also fight infection and inflammation by improving blood circulation so that more oxygen is carried to the cells in the body. Then toxic wasted are flushed out of the body more efficiently and our natural healing processes are enhanced.

Why Use Magnetic Therapy?

Research using magnets has shown therapeutic effects on the joints, nerves, tendons, and muscles as well as pain relief from work- and sports-related injuries. Magnets are effective in dilating blood vessels which could lead to a better blood flow, an increase in the oxygen level of our blood, and a more efficient flushing of harmful toxins from our body. These effects can alleviate certain types of pain such as headaches, which are caused by the restriction of blood vessels and the accumulation of toxins. This type of magnetic therapy is administered by placing magnets over the painful area. But many busy people do not have the time for this therapy because the magnet must stay in place for a long period of time.

Magnetic Jewelry

Magnetic jewelry addresses the need of placing a magnet over a painful area for a long period of time. Two examples are magnetic necklaces and magnetic bracelets. The necklace is believed to be effective is alleviating certain pain in our upper body including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and migraines. Bracelets can be effective in relieving shoulder, arm, and hand pain. Now people who cannot afford to devote a whole day to therapy can use magnetic jewelry.

Several athletes, cheerleaders and individuals with active lifestyles have conveniently worn the items without any discomfort. The bands are lightweight weighing only a few hundred grams or less. Magnetic Jewelery

In recent times, a number of alternative treatments to medical conditions have been developed, which are being used by a lot of people. One example of this is the introduction of eastern medical practices and medications to the West. Other examples include different types of therapy that do not use the traditional equipment and medications that Western medicine has developed. One such example is magnet therapy, which claims to be very effective in treating different kinds of pain on the different parts of the body.

How does magnet therapy work?

Magnet therapy works under the assumption that magnets are effective in dilating blood vessels that could lead to a better blood flow and other effects. Some of these effects include an increase in the oxygenation of the blood and the increased flushing out of harmful toxins from the body. It is then claimed that these effects alleviate pain because there are certain types of pain that are caused by the restriction of blood vessels such as headaches, and the accumulation of toxins on certain areas of the body. Usually, this type of therapy is administered by placing magnets on the areas in which a person is experiencing pain. However, this may not be always applicable as this therapy involves that a magnet be placed on an area for a long period of time, which busy people cannot afford to do.

Magnetic jewelry

In response to the need to have a way of placing a magnet on the area where there is pain, proponents of this therapy have developed magnetic jewelry, which people can wear on the area where they are experiencing pain. One example of this is a magnetic necklace, which is believed to be effective in alleviating certain types of pain that people may experience on their upper bodies, including migraines, headaches, neck pains, and back pains. In addition, magnetic bracelets are said to be effective in alleviating pain in the hands, arms and shoulders. Lastly, magnetic anklets are supposed to be able to help alleviate the pain that a person may be feeling on any part of his lower body, which includes his lower back, his knees and his feet.

One type of alternative therapy that has been developed recently is magnet therapy, which utilizes magnets to help alleviate different kinds of pain on the body. However, a new way of administering this therapy has also been developed so that people who use these magnets would be able to do the therapy for the whole day without having to stop working, which is to use magnetic jewelry.

Magnetic Bracelet Used in Research Study Now in United States

At the end of 2004 results from a study on arthritis patients in the UK was published in the British Medical Journal.

It stated that it had found positive pain reliving results using a magnetic bracelet. This was an independent study, which has been widely reported in publications and on the Internet.

The study did not name the product but it was the Bioflow Magnetic Bracelet that was used and until now it has only been available from sources in Europe. Now it is in the USA for the first time, which gives American consumers a higher level of protection if the product does not live up to expectations.

In the study 194 men and women aged 45 to 80 suffering pain caused by osteoarthritis of the hip and knee were split into three groups.

Two groups were given non-magnetic or low magnetic bracelets. They felt little change in their condition.

But those given a Bioflow magnetic bracelet felt a significant reduction in pain. Changes in pain were recorded using a recognized pain-scoring scale.

No one in the study knew which type of bracelet they were wearing.

The Arthritis Research Campaign of Great Britain funded the study

"Pain from osteoarthritis of the hip and knee does decrease when wearing magnetic bracelets" researchers said. They added "the magnetic bracelet appears to be free of side affects, unlike pain relievers, which are associated with gastrointestinal problems and, for certain drugs, heart attacks and strokes".

"Magnets are appealing because osteoarthritis is a chronic condition for which our treatments are unsatisfactory" Dr Tim Harlow, head of the research team said. "On the strength of the evidence I am prepared to recommend these static magnets to people with osteoarthritis".

The study took place over a 12-week period at Peninsular Hospital, Plymouth, England

The BMJ insists on a high level of integrity in any trial they publish. For full details of the report go to www.bmj.com

While the FDA in the United States has not approved the use of static magnets for the relief of magnetic pain they do not warn against it. In a 1999 study of patients it was found 18% had used magnetic or copper devices to relieve pain. It was estimated then that Americans spent $500 million per year on such products making this the second most popular alternative therapy for pain relief after chiropractic.

The FDA goes on to say that in the studies that did find benefits from magnetic therapy, many have shown those benefits very quickly. This suggests that if a magnet does work, it should not take very long for the user to start noticing the effect. Therefore, people may wish to purchase magnets with a 30-day return policy and return the product if they do not get satisfactory results within 1 to 2 weeks.

Given this advice it is understandable Americans would be a little wary about buying the Bioflow magnetic bracelet from a source in Europe. Now there is a company that has a stock in California and is offering a full 90-day money back guarantee.

The company can be contacted through their website at bettermagneticway.com

Men's Magnetic Bracelets For Power and Pride

Many may think that women are the only ones who can fashionably wear bracelets. Men's magnetic bracelets however, are a vital exception in the sense that they are both stylish and therapeutic. The designs are specifically made for the gentleman's taste. You have the freedom to choose a variety of materials with magnetic forces that supposedly treat physical ailments.

For Men Only

Since men are supposed to be considerably more active than women, they are also prone to various physical problems like wrist and joint pains, muscle spasms and the like. Men's magnetic bracelets come in handy since these are known to provide pain relief and reduce inflammation on the wrist and other nearby areas. The magnets are applied on the affected areas which can treat conditions like tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, sore wrists frequently suffered by golf enthusiasts and hand spasms experienced by weekend warriors and stage fathers.

The designs are made from premium quality metals like stainless steel, copper, titanium, gold and silver. These pieces are highly durable and made to withstand external elements like water, rust and dust. Men's magnetic bracelets are made to last for several years since manufacturers are aware that men give sentimental value to their little jewelry. These should never tarnish or fade and must always come with a warranty to prove true worth and durability.

Ruggedly Handsome

There are several designs that specifically cater to the masculine lifestyle. Sporty designs are made of stainless steel or titanium which is also waterproof and do not tarnish or corrode. Men can comfortably wear the lightweight pieces while playing sports or doing outdoor and water activities. The bracelets come with magnetic easy lock clasps that are extra secure so that they do not accidentally slip or break during strenuous movements. Some models include elastic bands wherein the hand can easily slip through without any of the risks that clasps have.

There are also styles that are perfect for casual, semi-formal and formal events. Sabona magnetic bracelets are a good choice for men who intend to invest in jewelry. The item may be made from a combination of expensive metals like gold or titanium together with stainless steel. Men can also choose to customize their bracelets through unique text or pattern engravings. There are also golf magnetic bracelets with highly versatile styles that best suit any occasion. Some designs feature gemstones, Swarovski crystals and even diamonds for more elegance.

Care for the Magnets

Men should still learn how to properly care for their bracelets even though these are very low-maintenance and durable. It is important to avoid placing magnetic jewelry or other magnetically sensitive items near the bracelets. Men may choose to wear the bracelets all year long even when they're taking a shower or sleeping. Simple brushing once every week or two weeks will suffice. Should the bracelet show signs of damage, immediately take it to the dealer for repair.

Men's magnetic bracelets should always come with a money-back guarantee or repair warranty for a given period of time. Remember that the pieces are primarily sold as jewelry or fashionable items so any therapeutic effects regarding magnets are not truly scientifically proven. Thinking Of Treating Arthritis Pain With Magnetic Therapy? Read This Report First

The continuing pain and discomfort of arthritis drives many people to seek different forms of relief, both orthodox and less traditional. One of the more unconventional ways is by treating arthritis pain with magnetic therapy. This is a method that has been gaining in popularity recently both in the USA and around the world.
What is magnet therapy? Magnet therapy is the positioning of strong magnets around the body in the belief that they will induce a therapeutic effect on the patient. These magnets are strong 'medical' magnets that are much stronger than the fridge magnets that you have at home.
How are they used? The magnets are often worn on the body in the form of inconspicuous jewelry such as bracelets or necklaces. The recommendation is to wear them close to the site of pain. The magnets are also available in blankets so that they can cover a larger area of the body while you are sleeping.
How do they work? Nobody really knows how they exert their effect and there is little medical evidence to back up their claims. Some distributors have said that they work by improving the blood flow to the affected area. This in turn brings more oxygen, nutrients and endorphins, which then work to reduce inflammation and pain.
Does it work? The jury is still out on this one. There are thousands of people around the world who claim that they have less arthritis pain with magnetic therapy. Distributors of these products even claim to have had success with animals. This is interesting because it means that patients are not just responding to a placebo effect. But there is a lack of medical evidence to back up these claims.
What conditions are treated? - the most common conditions that magnetic therapy has success with are painful conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Some people claim to have had good success with other conditions such as headaches/migraines and also as an aid in overcoming sleeplessness/insomnia.
Are there any side effects? Unlike some treatments for the pain of arthritis, there are no known side effects of using magnet therapy.
So is it worth treating arthritis pain with magnetic therapy? Only you can decide on that after researching this area. There are strong arguments on both sides as to whether the therapy is effective or not.

Magnetic Wrap Bracelets - Users Report Good Results

Magnetic wrap bracelets are part of the innovations of magnetic therapy. More and more products are being made every year which incorporates that supposed healing effects of magnets. These accessories are very stylish and versatile as well so you can virtually wear them while playing sports, going out on casual events or joining formal affairs.
The Wrap
Magnetic wrap bracelets differ from conventional models in design. Common styles include cuffs and chain links but wraps look rather unique. These pieces are usually wider and may use other materials aside from metals to wrap around the wrist. Examples of new materials would be polyphrene, nylon and Velcro attachments. Some designs also include magnetic hematite beads systematically arranged in elastic bands to form anywhere from 4 to 6 different rows. The hand can easily slip through the bands for quick and easy wearing. As for nylon and polyphrene designs, magnets are simply slipped inside sealed pockets and cushioning. These models are ideal for sports and outdoor activities.
Features And Benefits
Magnetic wrap bracelets can still effectively provide large amounts of magnetic fields to affected areas. The gauss measures anywhere from 2,000 to 30,000 depending on the size and quantity of magnets placed. Another unique feature of these bracelets is the flexible magnets able to concentrate and focus magnetic forces more. Compared to conventional magnets, the ones used in high quality wraps can penetrate forces deeper into the tissues so polarization is better and people should expect faster and bigger gains and pain relief.
The bracelet can easily fit to either your left or right wrist. The piece is basically lightweight and comfortable to wear so you can put it on several hours everyday even while sleeping for better results. Wrist movement is excellent and well-maintained without the bracelet restricting or blocking circulation. Although the band has the same texture as a wet suit, it is completely breathable so you don't sweat on it. One advantage about the Velcro closure is that you can adjust the bracelet from your wrist up toward your forearm or upper arm to specifically target areas. Some versions can have as many as 30 magnets or more so be sure to check that the weight is comfortable enough for you.
Buying Your Magnetic Wrap Bracelet
You can find very affordable magnetic wrap bracelets for as low as $14.95. Special discounts and sales can bring the price down to $8.99. The bracelets come in different lengths depending on your wrist size but standard lengths are from 34 to 42 inches. You may order online as well but be sure to include specifications like the gauss rating you need, the material you want to use as well as the color and pattern if the dealer has many available. Most products come with a 30-day warranty period in which you can return items or have them repaired or replaced.
Magnetic wrap bracelets primarily use the principles of magnetic therapy. Millions of people around the world have tried the approach with a huge number also reporting very good effects. However, there is no clinical proof behind the true nature and beneficial effects of magnets so these should never replace or hinder progress from any prescribed medication or medical treatment regimen. Always consult your doctor before buying and immediately report any unusual symptoms you may experience while trying the method.

Your Diabetic Bracelet Could Save Your Life(Magneticsbracelet)

More and more people are learning that a diabetic bracelet can indeed be life-saving in the long run. Millions of individuals in America and the world are suffering from diabetes with different manifestations and experiences everyday. It is only a matter of time before they find themselves in a deep predicament in which they can only rely on simple but informative bracelets.

The Diabetic Bracelet Advantage

The most useful and important aspect of your diabetic bracelet is the information that it holds. First and foremost, the bracelet will include text or a tag indicating that you are diabetic plus other information such as your name, address and age. You may also want to add other details like a contact person or number, your normal blood sugar count and blood type. These can come in very handy especially for medical professionals attending to you during emergencies.

When blood sugar levels become abnormally high or low, patients can be incapacitated or simply blackout anytime and anywhere. Only the bracelets can provide relevant information that can help save their lives. Other people in the area can immediately respond to the dire situation by using the data included in the diabetic bracelet.

Function and Fashion

Diabetic bracelets come in various designs and use different materials as well. The most common versions are the rubber or silicone wristbands with debossed text. These come in different solid and mixed colors as preferred by the individuals. Non-diabetics are frequently seen wearing these bands to show their support and concern for the cause. You will find encouraging messages and text imprinted, debossed or embossed on the surface such as "Live Strong, Hope, Believe, etc."

Since other diabetic patients do not fully like the idea of being tagged or labeled as a sufferer, there are more fancy and beautiful designs that both serve as a functional and fashionable piece. You can find diabetic jewelry using 14 to 22-karat gold, silver, sterling silver and other expensive metals. These bracelets may also include charms and adorned with beads, semi-precious stones and crystals according to the specifications and customizations of the wearer. Still, these pieces include vital information that will save their life during unexpected diabetic bouts. Prices for rubber and silicone versions are as low as $1.50 to $3 while jewelry costs $21 up to $300.

When Investing in a Diabetic Bracelet

Try to look for a design that you can comfortably wear in almost any occasion. Plain silver designs match both casual and formal attires. Waterproof bracelets are also good so that you don't have to take them off while going to the shower. It is advised that you wear the diabetic bracelet at all times so that you'll always be prepared for any untoward accident. Always check the latch or lock that it is functioning well to avoid breakage or accidentally losing the piece.

Ensure that the size is also just right so that it doesn't easily fall off or snap should you fall or blackout. The ideal size would allow one finger to slide between your wrist and the bracelet. Choose the information you wish to include in your diabetic bracelet. If you're planning to invest in jewelry, a simple text saying "Diabetic" may be enough but of course you can add more to prioritize function over style.
